I Agree With The Earlier Reviewer - Phone Car Mount Critique

By Natalie Baker

I purchased this mount hoping to use my vent instead of the suction cup because I wanted to use a phone-mount that I could remove easily in its entirety. In my experience suction cups don't stay in place if they are regularly removed and re-installed.

I couldn't get this to work for my life. I needed a vent mount so that it was closer to me and easier to see.

The holder is pretty secure, but I don't know if I would trust it in landscape mode. I used to have an original droid and I was disappointed to find that there isn't an "exact fit" cradle for the Incredible like the one I had for the droid, but the "squeeze style" cradle is functional, if a bit unwieldy. It holds the phone fine, but it looks a little outsized and unfit up there on the window.

The vent mount swivels nicely to allow for a good viewing angle while attached to either the driver's side or passenger's side central vents of my cars. I have not tried the windshield mount.

I've had it stuck there ever since I bought it and it hasn't fallen once. It's been through cold weather, hot weather up to 100 degrees and it is still there.

I bought this car mount for my HTC Thunderbolt. It works well. Product arrived when expected and is an awesome deal for the price. As a bonus, using the dashboard mount, now I can use my suction cup mount for my iPod and the vent mount for my phone.

I like the unit, but if I don't have it tilted up a bit, my phone will fall out. I loved this when I first got it and it worked very well. It fits my 2009 Toyota Highlander. The cons listed above are minor. The windshield mount, however works very well and holds firmly. If I had to do over, I'd still get this, but I wouldn't bother with the vent mount. It's a great product! Not as strong as windshield mount for Garmin GPS.

If you're prepared for that part, it's a decent product. I'd give it at least one more star on the rating if it had better air vent clips that held on with more pressure. The suction is very strong and doesn't wiggle at all. The vent mount is kind of flimsy and if your vent vertical movements are loose, the weight of the phone will definitely pull it down. It's not a particularly attractive piece of equipment, but it does what it's designed to do. Three stars may be unfair; I'm comparing it to the old droid mount, not to other squeeze mounts.
