How To Use Social Media Groups To Enhance Your Online Marketing Business

By Dwad Lane

In our previous issue, we discussed about how you can earn money from Facebook. In this issue we are going to talk about Facebook marketing and Facebook Groups for your business.

This Facebook Group Application has just recently been revamped by the social networking site, to make it more useful and beneficial for its users. Be aware that as opposed to Fan pages, the Groups application is not recommended for use if you're developing a target market. A group can be kept secret or open should the moderator chooses to do it. With Groups, one is allowed to chat, send emails and post photos to a given group of individuals.

While the Groups element has its share of benefits, it also has some limitations when compared to Fan and Business pages on Facebook. To get the most out of this application, some businesses either assign a team to handle it using a personal account or be careful when attaching contacts to their Facebook business page. Even the business page owner can do this task directly.

Let's quickly look at a few ways to apply social media management and using the Facebook Group Application to your advantage:

- As Connection to other Industry Figures

No matter what industry you fit in with, a solid conversation on the key points and issues of the community is one way to build your reputation whether through conventional discussion boards or through informal discussions in a medium like Facebook. For many other business owners, this could suggest talking to competition and unveiling things that they aren't expected to. Then again, they'd be surprised to know that a lot other marketers are enthusiastic to share what they know. Don't exclude yourself from sharing some of your practical knowledge and experience to other people. It might just be a peg for a prospect to choose you later on.

- As An Assistance Group

Do you have many concerns pertaining to promotions and other characteristics of operating a small business? What if you need to talk to the admin regarding a few issues about business? With Facebook for Business, you can conveniently do this with as much openness or privacy as you want.Your crew will see the discussion and feel pleased that they're not the only ones who are striving to resolve the issue. You and your team will also be able to post some positive results at the wall and who knows? This might even turn out to be a motivation for everybody.

To Start A Corporate Social Responsibility

Are you concerned about running a fundraising activity within your staff? Or what if you want to link with the charity or advocacy group that you're organization is involved in? Facebook will give your hard work a sense of openness and will also help you be more organized with the call for volunteers. If you decided to make the discussion open or accessible to everyone, your customers and other companies might even involve themselves.

- As a Way to Update Field Workers Not every industries need a closed office. Besides hosting meetings, businesses also need ways to quickly and easily keep in touch with each member of the team. For any issue that needs to be discussed within a staff, Facebook makes this possible without too much hassle or preparation such as having to hold a meeting. There are live chats, posts and photo updates so that workers from outside feel like they're still under the company umbrella no matter where they go.

Make sure you look for your next issue soon. We are going to talk about the right way to interact with you Facebook friends & fans.
