Functional Missing Child Apps Allow Clients To Help Children

By Sean Locke

One of the most terrible things that can occur is a disappearance of a kid. Sadly however; several kids vanish every day. The panic one feels when their kid disappears is an awful thing that no one should ever experience. Missing child apps is a measure implemented by the authorities to help find kids that have been reported lost. This measure will involve all the citizens in a community to look for the kids that have disappeared, and if spotted one can notify the authorities immediately.

One government agency has introduced an application that can be downloaded free on any Ipad and Iphone. Every parent should have this on their phones because it contains photographs and the kid's particulars such as height and weight. If the kid should suddenly disappear and the search of the perimeter yields nothing, the parent can immediately send the information to the authorities.

The police know that the first 24 hours is vital when searching for a lost loved one. There is another cellphone application called "Missing Children". It is available nationally for anyone who wants to assist in searching for young ones who have disappeared. It basically is a data base that consists of the profiles of vanished kids.

Each profile has the basic particulars of each kid, a photograph and button which will contact the authorities that are in charge if finding that particular youngster. When it is downloaded, an individual will be pinpointed at a particular geographic point and a list of lost kids that were lost in that area will be sent to him. This application was invented to enhance a system named "Amber Alert".

This government measure was put in place to alert the public if there were any kids that disappeared. They used the media as the form of communication such as television and the radio. A description of the lost person would be given and a number would be provided that one could call if said person was spotted.

The problem was that when a person matching the description of the vanished kid was spotted, the individual could have forgotten the number or didn't have the number handy. It was not a user friendly system which makes this application so valuable. Many kids look alike and if one does not have a photograph handy they might identify the wrong kid.

The description will include the kid's particulars such as weight, height, clothes they were wearing when last seen plus a photograph. Should one of these kids be spotted, a hot button is on the profile of each kid. This will connect the person to the authorities in charge so that they can immediately act on the sighting.

This method is much easier to use and much faster. One needs only to look at the profiles when in an area and if a person matching the description of the lost youngster is spotted, the authorities can be there in minutes. Missing Child Apps have become a valuable tool in the search for vanished young ones and every citizen should have at least one or other application on their phones so that in the event of a lost kid being spotted, the authorities can be notified in the shortest amount of time.
