The HDTV Antenna Free TV Experience

By Jeff Smith

There are people who are good at guessing the trajectory of certain trends and changes in the world. But people may be good at this, but no one is an expert and infallible. No one can actually foresee and predict accurately the amazing things that will change in technology. By tracing the history of television, using the HDTV antenna, for example, one can see just how often changes occur that surprise and benefit mankind.

A long time ago the radio was invented. When this occurred, people were amazed by a new way to receive news and information. Humans could now communicate with people in their homes, with just their voice, and this changed the entire world almost over night. People got used to this new technology very quickly, and thus were able to adjust to television easily as well.

When the television came around it was easy for people to embrace it because its programming was free. All one had to do was to purchase a set that they could afford, and then they could get all the stations that were available for free, with no additional cost. An antenna would be attached and the best possible picture one could expect would blaze into their home, just like with the radio. People enjoyed seeing who was talking to them.

The quality of the picture, at first, was almost laughable by the standards of today. The picture was, at best, a grainy thirteen inch black and white image. The signal, if people were very lucky, would be clear and not flicker in the home. But at least the access was free, as this was a nice gesture.

Time marched on and so did progress. Certain stations were founded that charged third parties who then charge consumers to receive their programming over a cable line. With this new format came increases in visual technology. But all the while, most governments have continued to mandate that channels with news and other information be broadcast for free.

One thing that changed for both groups was the quality of the picture and the signal. First came color, then other hybrid technologies of color that supposedly present a clearer and sharper picture. Very recently, hi definition television was invented, and now the world is in a whole new great place where anyone, for free, can get this amazing crisp image in their home.

And this is not some big secret or trick for people to learn. Governments are going out of their way to tell people about this switch. It is easy to do, all it requires is that one purchase the correct antenna, and then they have access to the highest quality of picture ever invented, so far, in the history of mankind and TV. All one must do is purchase this one item.

The fact that this incredibly advanced technology is actually free for anyone with an HDTV antenna is remarkable and not something to be glossed over. This is not a scam or some weird loop hole in a system. It is a device that is absolutely necessary to receive free media and other cultural stations of importance. And now it is available in the highest, best form of visual technology ever invented.
