You may not have realized it, but you can move your application icons anywhere on the screen that you want. To do so, simply hold the icon for one second and when it pops up you can move it where you want. This is also the way to delete an application.

Performing multiple app updates at the same time can slow down your iPad and make it difficult to get anything done. You can alleviate this by pausing apps and forcing them to update one at a time instead of all at once. Tap the icon of the app that is updating to pause it. When one is finished, you can allow another one to finish updating.

Set up your notifications to meet your needs. To do this just go to settings and then click notifications. Here you can customize your iPad to alert you of what you think could be important. This way, you will not be flooded with too many notifications and do not have to miss the ones that you need.

The new keyboard is packed full of features, so many that some appear to be hidden. The new apostrophe key is tucked away within the virtual keyboard on the second screen. Press the "!" key for a few moments and you can circumvent this second page page with an immediate apostrophe.

Sadly, many covers claim to be a SmartCover, but few actually work. The investment in an Apple SmartCover is a great idea as it makes your iPad sleep when you close it and wakes it up when you open it again. This saves you a ton of time and your battery, too.

Password protect your device. This can be a great way to keep prying eyes away from your information and your iPad. Think of a password you can remember, and make sure that it is not the same password as the one you use everywhere else. Write it down so that you can retrieve it if you forget.

Don't automatically go for the newest version. You may find that the features you want are on older versions, and you will find that the older versions are significantly cheaper. Compare and find out which version of the iPad suit you best, and you may save a little money while you're at it.

A quicker way to access websites is using the ".com" key. When browsing in Safari, you can save time typing website addresses by just tapping on this key. You can also have other options by holding down on this key. When you tap and hold down, you will have a menu that will give other options to the ".com" address.

Find out about other Apple products. You may be able to use your iPad in tandem with other devices in the Apple family, making your use of all of them much easier. You can look at the Apple site, or you can just search on the internet for ways that you may be able to use other Apple devices.
