Get Excellent Signal by Adjusting Your HDTV Antenna

By Theron E. Bibbs

An HDTV signal is more difficult to get than the analog one. Your TV reception can either be great or your TV will show nothing at all. Read this post to get an idea on the best way to modify your HDTV aerial for your TV watching.

Specify site of TV station aerial. The first thing which you need to do is to give your regional television station a telephone call. And then, ask them concerning the site of their transmission antennas.

The second step which you should do now is to reposition your exterior antenna. In case you'd your aerial attached on the roof, you must release the U-bolts that are carrying the aerials. Then, reposition the antenna and point it to the path where the television station's broadcast mast is found. Make sure to have an assistant to assist you monitor the television each time you create any adjustments to the aerial. Refrain from screaming to each other to talk, but instead, make use of a telephone. Every time you create a change to the position of the exterior antenna, ask your assistant to rescan for stations. And then, when you've finally acquired the stations you want, tighten the U-bolts to keep the antenna secured in place.

Adjust the interior aerial ears. You may now start working on readjusting your interior antennas until you acquire the best television reception. Initially you should ensure to lift the antennas as high up to the roof as possible. You may then carefully adjust the directions of the antenna ears until you're pleased with the reception from the TV set. It is necessary that while you create any modifications, you also continue to observe your TV set to help you immediately find out the exact change that provided the best television reception.

Carry the aerial near the window. The TV station's broadcast signal is best where there are no interferences. Thus, try moving your television set close to the window where it can receive a direct signal from the transmission mast. When altering the location of the antennas, be sure that its cables aren't kinked.

You can also try to look for the best reception from inside the room by moving the antenna around the room. Perform this while carefully monitoring the reception of channels from the television. As soon as you have determined which particular spot in the room supplies the best reception, move your television set to that space.

A higher spot inside the house also offers a better TV reception from, say, the basement or bottom floor. Therefore, in case your TV set is not obtaining great reception from the floor it is currently positioned, move the TV set to an elevated floor.
