You can check where links will take you to by slightly pressing on them instead of tapping. This is the equivalent of hovering your mouse over an element displayed by your computer; you will see more information about the links you touched. Always check links you receive in your emails, especially if you do not know the sender.

There is a way you can take pictures faster instead of going through your apps. Double-tap on the Home button, and the camera icon will be available for you to tap. This even works if have your iPhone locked. Once you do this, use the volume up button to take the picture.

To get personal with your iPhone and Siri, try teaching Siri your family's names. For instance, you can teach Siri your spouse's name. Then instead of speaking out your spouse's full name when you want to call him or her, you can say instead "Call my husband" or "Call my wife." It's much more personable!

On your iPhone, it is possible to look at PDF files in your iBooks. When you are on a website with a PDF, you want to view or a mail message, all you need to do is tap and then hold either the PDF link or icon. Then, simply select "open in iBooks".

If you accidentally drop your iPhone into water, do not proceed to turn it on! This can cause permanent damage to your phone because it will be short-circuited. Instead, you should use a towel to lightly dry it. Never use a hairdryer because this can push the moisture into the dry areas. Keep your phone in a bag or bowl of uncooked white rice overnight. If you have your iPhone in hand and happen upon that once in a lifetime pictures, you can take it without unlocking your phone. Simply tap the home button twice while your phone is still locked. You will see a few icons, and one of them will be your camera icon. Take your picture and it will instantly be saved to your phone.

Use the headphone cord to help you take pictures. It can be difficult to take a picture that is in focus if you are pushing a button that is on the actual phone. Instead, push the cord's button; the slight movement will not affect your iPhone at all, allowing you to take a crisp, clear photograph.

The iPhone is a great tool for so many different things. You can listen to music, get applications that make your life easier, and call your friends and family.
