Notable Social Networking Features of the Motorola Bionic

By Gareth Jale

One of the most social networking sites currently active is Facebook. With a smart phone you can surf through Facebook and stay in touch with all of your friends. However, you can also download an Android Facebook app that makes the process a little more streamlined for smart phones, since when you go to Facebook through your web browser. The application is more optimized for viewing on your screen.

Another popular social networking site that you can access through a mobile device is undoubtedly Twitter. Twitter is similar to Facebook in that it has become massively popular over the last few years, but a key focus in Twitter is brevity. All comments can only be a few sentences long and pictures are not nearly as focused on as they are on Facebook. You can again surf to Twitter and read people's tweets or add your own through a regular browser built into your Bionic, like Firefox, but you might want to use a dedicated Twitter app like Tweet Deck to make the process a little easier on your smart phone and on your eyes.

Beyond these two wildly popular sites, you can of course use a cell phone to stay in touch with your social network simply by texting all of your friends. This is rapidly becoming the primary way through which young people stay in touch with each other in the United States, as it combines the portability of smart phones and cell phones with the flexibility and immediacy of instant messaging that used to be conducted on computers.

The ability to send texts back and forth is easy and that is one of the reasons why so many smart phone users are constantly texting. Of course, if you would rather hear their voices, you can still socially network in a more primitive fashion by looking up their numbers and giving them a call.

As you can see, there are a number of social networking outlets that you can take advantage of when you have a Motorola Bionic in your pocket. Along the way, it is not a bad idea to also look into some of the many accessories that you can buy, including a case as well as a screen protector. When you want to keep your phone going for a long time, it is a good idea to have the gear around it to keep it from breaking prematurely. Phones are expensive these days, and in today's troubled economy, it is worth paying a little extra to save a lot more in the long run.
