Are There Connection Options for Smart phones?

By James Dreesen

When you're out of the office, you still want a way to keep up with your clients' needs. But you can't do that if they can't reach you and you can't reach them. Choosing the right smart cell phone involves more than simply picking out the one that looks the best and has some cool features.

Hot new smart phones with all the latest gizmos and gadgets can sound good and save you a lot of time. But none of that can be put to use if you have a bad or no connection at all.

Bottom line is that your going to need to pick the smart phone with the most connection power that you can find. Make sure to ask the sales person or better yet read the product details. This will insure your don't get stuck in a rut with the smart phone that only offers one connection option.

With your business competition always lurking about, one bad connection could result in the loss of that important business deal. It might not be a big deal is the connection is lost during a call with a family member, but losing a business connection can be the kiss of death to that new hot lead or deal.

Losing a call can be frustrating and sometimes devastating especially in business. But nothing can be more frustrating than not being able to connect to the internet to send that email that was due at 5pm. Missing deadlines and losing clients can be a result of not getting a smart phone with Wi-Fi capabilities. This will insure you can connect to the internet whenever your in need.

Don't all phones have Wi-Fi connection? Yes, most phones these days are Wi-Fi compatible. The one that is most known around the world is the Blackberry from Verizon.

The Nexus One from Google also has Wi-Fi capability. It's suppose to be the Iphone killer and it's Wi-Fi connection is known to be flawless. This HTC phone is very similar to the Apple Iphone in this regard. However, it's Android Apps are lacking.

Does this mean that if a phone doesn't have Wi-Fi you should pass it over? Not at all. It means you have to evaluate how time you'll be spending on the road where you'll need Wi-Fi versus staying in town where a Wi-Fi connection is a bonus rather than a necessity. But if you want to make sure your smart cell phone has the best connection capability, look for one that has more than one way to connect.
