Marketing Your Business With Custom QR Codes

By Michael T. Glaspie

Custom QR codes have recently become very popular as a marketing tool for all types of businesses. These are generally seen in magazines, newspapers, on coupons, and on posters. The code you place in your ads can be used by your target market to get more information about your company and your products. Using them in your marketing plan is a very smart move.

When you are using custom QR codes, you do have to be certain that you plan them out so they are not distracting the individual from the message itself. A code can be done in black and white, but it is the business who thinks of the piece as art that is going to get the most response. Instead of thinking in black and white terms, do what you can to make it your own.

A lot of businesses have taken things a step further and have incorporated the code into their own branding. In other words, they are working hard to incorporate their business logo into the code itself. The ultimate goal would be for your target market to be able to identify your company just by seeing the code. While it can take some work to get this done, it is an achievable goal and one that you should strive for.

Once you are done with the customization of the code, you then have to plan out how you will use it in your business. The fact is that these can be anywhere. They can be on your business cards, your newsletters, and on your letterhead. The key is to make certain that they get in front of your target market so that they can get proper information about your business.

As a business, the one thing you have to make sure you are doing is keeping up with all of the advancements in technology and using custom QR codes will show that you are doing this. If you choose not to utilize this marketing tool, you can be sure that it will be your competitor that wins over your target market, which will do nothing but leave you behind.
