Why Go Wireless?

By Brian Lakeman

There are many people who wonder why they would even consider going wireless but if you have a wired broadband connection then you will quickly see that those four jacks in the back are not near enough to keep all your internet devices going from just one router. Especially if you have several computers, game systems, and a VOIP phone you will very soon run out of places to hook in your new internet ready devices.

These days there are so many ways to use your broadband connection and with so many devices internet ready you really don't want to have to run wires all throughout your house and hooking up more than one wired router can be a big tangled mess. You are much better off going wireless with your internet connection as this can also save you a lot of time when you are hooking up wireless devices.

Some people are afraid that it will be too complicated for them to go wireless but you might be surprised to learn that hooking up a wireless router is actually simpler than hooking up a wired one very simply because the device is the same but without the complication of the wires. Once you program your own personal code into your router you simply plug this code into all of your internet ready devices from laptops to game systems and they all automatically find and connect to the internet.

All of the biggest game systems come internet ready including the Wii, Xbox 360, and the Playstation 3 and being connected to the web will not only allow you to play online with your friends and more challenging gamers but will also allow you to stream online movies through these devices using Netflix or Blockbuster Online. This type of freedom is one that most people enjoy immensely. There are many benefits to using not only these devices but allowing the kids to access the internet using their laptops in their room for studying and online research. A good broadband connection can make their work a lot simpler.

Wireless Internet Access is something that can make every aspect of your life a little 'easier and is also useful when friends or family come to visit with their Internet devices ready. Just punch in the code, and they too can access the Internet wirelessly at any time they want to stay with you. There are so many benefits of having a broadband connection that is wireless.
