Top Music Streaming Features of the HTC Inspire

By Gareth Jale

HTC designed the Inspire to really provide its users with a great multimedia experience. HTC also focuses on multimedia in terms of their accessories, so you have a lot more options than just your basic case and screen protector. One of the most common questions among HTC Inspire owners concerns how to stream music from their smart phone while in their car, and how they can listen to that stream.

If you have a new automobile then you will notice that it already has Bluetooth-capable audio. This is the most convenient way to stream music because the user does not need to purchase anything new to be able to do so. If your car's audio system supports Bluetooth, you'll actually see it listed in your phone's Bluetooth menu. Simply tap it, and then tap again to confirm. Now, any music, or any audio at all, played on your Inspire gets picked up by the car's audio system, which then delivers it to its speakers.

If you don't have a Bluetooth-capable audio system, you may be able to accomplish it using an adapter. Some of the adapters that you may end up using are a USB adapter or a AUX jack adapter. These devices pick up the stream, and then handle distributing it to the system's speakers. These accessories work very similar to how car docking stations work in order to be able to transfer audio to the car speakers and radio. Bluetooth-capable radio systems, whether built-in or by adapter, can also take advantage of music streaming services, including Internet radio, which makes the whole experience that much more convenient and perhaps cheaper since you don't actually have to supply the music.

Another common option is a Bluetooth headset or earpiece. Bluetooth headsets are already a common electronic device since many states require them by law to be used when using a mobile device and driving. Standard Bluetooth headsets however, only have enough bandwidth for basic conversations. The new Bluetooth headsets, on the other hand, take advantage of advanced profiles, such as A2DP, to carry 2-channel stereo. Due to these advances, music over Bluetooth provides excellent quality, and there's not much difference between it and conventional headphones until you get into the high-end sets.

Headsets are not always the choice of preference for everyone. There are some people who find them to be a distraction when driving. For them, Bluetooth speakers provide an alternative. Bluetooth speakers work similarly to a headset except that you mount them in the car, and they behave like a car speaker. It's a convenient way to listen to music in your home without carrying the phone around, and it's particularly useful for college students who may not have room for a full-blown stereo system.
