Preventing Malware

By Allen Moore

Data encryption refers to mathematical calculations and algorithmic schemes that transform plain text into cypher text, a form that is non-readable to unauthorized parties. The person who receives an encrypted message uses a key which triggers the algorithm mechanism to decrypt the data, consequently transforming it to the original plain text version.

The Android uses a complicated operating system. On the other hand, the majority of operational cellphones run simple real time applications.

Regarding its Internet capabilities, the Android phone uses Web Kit to power the G1's Chrome Lite browser. The Web Kit also powers iPhone's Safari, therefore, in terms of enhanced web experiences, the G1 is a competitor to the iPhone.

If you use Microsoft products then you are an excellent target for malware. According to many experts programs like Outlook, Outlook Express, the Internet Explorer browser and Windows itself have several security weaknesses. Unfortunately it is easier to catch malware than it is eliminating it. Some malware can even disseminate, spread to other computers and completely control your system.

The Android has a distinctive feature which is that it is not linked to a particular manufacturer. Any manufacturer who wants to produce its own version of an Android phone is welcome to use the platform for his or her own devices.

To avoid malware it is important to have an updated operating system and an updated browser. Be sure to have antivirus software and keep it updated and turned on. Run it at least once a month.

It is also essential to have anti-malware components that do not interfere with your antivirus program. Using Windows Firewall is also a good idea. According to professionals you shouldn't run two firewalls at once since they will interfere with one another.

Internet has an open nature and it is important to know that web surfing may be dangerous sometimes. Data encryption is a security mechanism that is necessary because the information transferred over the internet can be simply captured and viewed by anyone.

According to many professionals the release rate of malware and unwanted software could exceed the release of legitimate applications. Be sure to take preventive measures to keep your computer safe.
