How to Make Your Persuasive Speech Topic Fun

By Kate Black

If you want to make your persuasive speech fun, all you need is a great topic. Read this brief article and learn how to persuade and entertain.

For making a persuasive speech that will be fun for you and the audience, you have to understand that your subject has to be fun as well. What you are good at or what you are interested in and then include some humour in your speech. This will have the most positive result on your grade and your speech won't be uninteresting for your audience.

So first of all, think about something you really care about. If you're worried about ecological situation of the Earth and you see that your friends are throwing trash simply on the ground, then this speech can be a great chance for you to persuade them that keeping our world clean is vital. Using humor here can be very helpful.

You to bear in mind next points:

Consider your listeners, when you're selecting your subject. Ensure it is going to be acceptable for their age and tastes.

Consider your time requirements. Just make absolutely sure that your subject isn't going to take for too long, or that you have too many jokes. Do not forget, that good jokes require some time for your listeners to giggle. Make sure your topic is educational and meets your subject requirements. You might like computer games and if you decide to persuade everybody to play your favourite shooter, make sure you are not intending to do that for biology class.

Remember that your jokes need to be relevant. And remember that it's better to use less jokes that are good, than many silly jokes. A great way to be sure your topics are good is to "test" them on your family or buddies. Make a walk through of the speech and leave those jokes, which were funny to your mates or family.

The main factor for a successful persuasive speech is to be confident. Remember all the above and start looking for your topic. Practice your speech until it becomes perfect and be certain to give a great speech confidently. Good luck!
