Here is a simple (very basic) way to evaluate your company to find out if you are properly structured to attract capital. Have a corporate meeting and ask yourselves the following questions: What type of corporate structure do you have and why did you choose that particular structure? Break down your executive infrastructure, where do your individual executives stand in your industry, do the unthinkable, Google everyone's names; are the people running your company real industry players? Are all the basic positions accounted for (president, CFO, controller etc)? Next, look at your advisory board and board of directors. If by some miraculous act of God you actually have these two groups represented in your company, how did you qualify them? Sorry but if you have an attorney on your board because he's, um...well, an attorney, that's not good enough.

You need an industry specific legal guru who not only spells out the intricacies of your business genre's regulation but they must also be actively qualifying potential strategic partnerships as alliances for your company. He should be reaching into his client base and actively picking companies that could enhance your company in distribution or in any other way that will have a profitable outcome for all involved. Each of the members must be serving a similar purpose.

Next, on what criteria are you basing your share price or loan amount? If you don't have a clear cut 'use of proceeds' model, you need one. This and many, many other questions need to be asked before you are actually ready to raise capital and in all reality, until your corporate structure is in place you shouldn't even attempt to write a business plan or a private placement memorandum. If you are serious about setting up your company to attract investors you need a turnaround consultant, you can't do this on your own. Why Grocery Stores Should Calm Down

Grocery stores are being usurped by the big, warehouse-like chains. This is nothing new, and I myself, have done plenty of my grocery shopping at these huge places. They have cheaper prices, a fairly large selection, and the super stores have everything (from regular food groceries, to clothes, to auto supplies) in one convenient location. I completely understand why these types of stores are blowing their smaller competition out of the water.

However, I was at my local market the other day with my three-year-old son, who was getting understandably impatient waiting in line to check out. When the store clerk saw this, she asked me if it would be alright for her to give him some candy. When I gratefully nodded in the affirmative, she pulled out a little package of Smarties for my son to munch on while we waited. Of course, my son was more than happy to sit in his cart while he got to devour his treat, and I did not have to have the headache of keeping him in line.

This is just one of many examples that this local grocery store has demonstrated. All the employees are incredibly friendly, the bakery always gives us a free cookie upon request, as well as a very large sized sample of their soft-serve ice cream. The atmosphere is so pleasant that my family and I will go there just to walk around and enjoy the free samples if we have nothing to do.

So while I truly understand the benefits of going to the chain superstores, I must admit that I would rather make my life a little less convenient by having to go to my local market and an auto store separately just to support the friendly people at my local grocery store. Simply knowing what nice people they are makes me concerned, as a consumer, that their business continues to stay above water.

And while I may be stereotyping a bit here, I have had similar experiences at other locally owned markets in various locations. Though I was not a regular at those particular stores, I was still treated as such. And let's be honest here - who doesn't like to get the royal treatment, no matter where they are?

I think that the saying of business not being personal is somewhat relative. After all, don't you just love it when you can go to a place on a regular basis and know the people who serve you? Isn't it nice when said people actually take an interest in your personal life along with making sure you are one hundred percent satisfied with your shopping experience? Just some food for thought here. I'm not saying to boycott the larger chains, by any means. I am merely expressing my appreciation for the "mom and pop" stores that are still around. I hope they can continue to thrive in their business ventures, and I also extend my appreciation to their customers who keep them in business.

The Novel Tells the story of a hardcore biker named Shane, Shane had always kept women at arms length and showed them no emotion, That was until he met Kelly. Try as he might this biker who had always kept to himself could not fight off his feelings for her and soon found himself Married to the Women of his dreams.

After 10 years of Marriage Kelly is taken from Shane in a Tragic accident while they are Ridding. Shane finds everything around him reminds him of Kelly, His home, his shop, even his Clubhouse. His Brother's try to Support and comfort him, but the looks of sorrow in their eyes for him is more then Shane can bare. He soon realizes staying in the world He has Known and loved is not an option. Soon Shane is on his Iron Horse with the wind in his face and no destination! As Shane rides He finds the pain he feels for his loss begin to lessen!

With advice from a Mysterious Biker he keeps running into, Shane finds himself at a Micmac Indian Camp. Shane is welcomed into the Camp by the Tribes Chief and soon finds himself becoming Friends with the Chief's Daughter Tia who has recently lost her Husband! While the two Share their pain they soon begin to feel something for each other. Is it possible for either of them to feel love again while still suffering from such a great loss? A member of Tia's Tribe is taking no chances and tells Shane to stay away from Tia. He soon finds out you never tell a Biker like Shane what to do!

I found the writing in this novel while in no way simplistic was easy to read. I also found the story easy to follow ! Adelle "Legs" Laudan describes and expresses the feelings of Biker Brotherhood perfectly. When She explains Shane's feelings while Riding you can see in your mind where he is and you can almost feel the wind in your Face!

In life we all have our worlds we live in, When something Terrible happens sometimes We cling to what We know. Shane does what He as a true Biker must after such a terrible loss, He goes out and finds not only a new life but a new World to live in for a while.

I have to say I enjoyed the story. It was not what I was expecting or would usually read but I found I could not put the book down. I think some Men who Ride will enjoy this book, While many I feel will find it a little too much of a Romance novel! I do believe almost all Women who has ever ridden a Motorcycle or dated a Man who rode one will love this Novel.

What I mean by this is, investors, just like anyone else, has insecurities that are rooted in their childhood and what they are outwardly today, is typically a polar opposite of what they are on the inside. For example, an arrogant, chest beater seems proud and obnoxious on the outside but the reality is that they are over compensating for an insecurity that is rooted in an individual or collection of childhood incidents.

Maybe they were made fun of as a child, maybe they're father was verbally abusive, maybe their teachers would single them out in class opening them up to playground mockery. When talking to these individuals it's important to listen to their voice and intonation when the conversation topic changes. Take notes on their psychological adjustments to the conversation. After you feel you have discovered the triggers that induce the 'pleasurable' responses, end the call, and set your second phone appointment with them.

On that second call, you want to have your conversation ready to go using the triggers you found in the first conversation. Play off of those insecurities that you found, become their best friend without being chummy but it is your mission on this call to be the "guy that understand me" to the investor. You want the overall tone of this conversation to have the response from your target along the theme of, "wow, this guy gets me" , "I can see investing in this company".

By using this method and not coming across as 'fake', you have become an investment opportunity and a shrink all rolled into one. You want to be the one person that this investor can lower his guard to because everything he says, you seem to be the one person who understands him at his deepest level. You seem to naturally be tuned into his insecurities, emotions, needs and wants. Sound strange? Try this out on the next investor you talk to, I guaranty you will be shocked with the results.
