Interesting Facts About Watching TV On PC

By Joanne Keith

Thanks to the modern technology, we can now watch satellite TV on PC and can do it without installing the ugly satellite dish or messing with cables. What's more exciting is that you can enjoy as many as 5000 TV channels at only a small one time cost.

All that you need to do is to install a special software on your PC, and you can enjoy the programs at any time you wish. You also need to have internet connection and preferably a broadband so that you can stream more quickly and have better picture quality.

There are huge selections of channels for you, such as movies, news, cartoon, fashion, sports, music, and even documentary. These TV shows are sourced from various TV stations, including CNN International, Espn Network, Discovery Channel, Show TV, Research TV, Comedy Central, and many many others. If you find a good internet TV service, you will be able to watch TV from over 100 countries worldwide, which means over 4000 channels. These are not just English-speaking countries, you also get to enjoy TV programs from countries like Brazil, Albania, Bolivia, China, India, Saudi Arabia, etc. Even a free satellite TV service will let you watch over 1000 channels, although the qualities vary.

Most TV channels in North America and Europe (such as USA, UK, Canada, Australia, Germany, Spain and Frances) are available to your 24/7, but others run their own schedule.

You can search online for the right software. There are free ones and paid ones. Although there is nothing wrong with wanting to watching TV online for free, you need to be aware that there are limitations with free services. First, you do not get adequate support; Second, the qualities are poor and you do not have enough channel choices as apposed to the paid services; Third, they often come with suspicious addons that either infects your computer or stuffs ads onto your face.

The paid services attract a fee, but for very good reasons. You get much better quality and wider channel choices, as well as protection against suspicious addons such as spyware and adware. There are services who ask for monthly subscription, but you do not have to go that route. If you select carefully, you can find services that grant you unlimited access to thousands of channels for just a one time payment of under 50 bucks.
