Podcasting is a fairly new term in the internet community. Podcasting basically means creating a radio-show which other people can listen online and download to a digital player or computer later. There are hundreds of tools that popularize podcasting. Podcasts can be made for absolutely every topic that pops out in your mind and podcasts aren't made by professional orator, but instead of everyday people. This allows you to hear different opinions and thoughts about the topics that interest you the most. Podcasts give you complete freedom, because you are not obligated to be in front of the TV or radio so that you will be able to listen to the show. Podcasts can be listened to whenever you want.

Podcasting allows you to listen to the last news that is interesting to you. For instance you can listen about rocket engineering while play a game on your computer. Almost all the tools that offer podcasting have their podcasts sorted in different groups. This allows you to sort out the unneeded podcasts and lets you choose only from the ones which are interesting for you. The tools also have a ranking system which allows you see the top authors and podcasts and leaves the bad podcasts in the background.

Of course instead of listening to podcasts you can also try to create your own. You won't need any special equipment to record and broadcast a podcasts. You will just have to possess a microphone and a computer connected to the internet. Then it is all to you - choosing the topic, choosing the community, choosing the website on which to share it. And if you have more luck and ability to talk about interesting topics and keep the users focused on your thoughts you may even make some profit from broadcasting podcasts.

Podcasting is slowly, but surely overwhelming TV and radio-shows. The main reason for this is that you don't have to be stuck next to the radio or TV to wait for your show. Podcasts award you complete liberty, because you only need several minutes to download and copy the podcast to a digital media player or just listen to it on your computer.

Sometimes you may notice a podcast the author of which shares the same thoughts and opinion you have regarding the subject. This way you'll be able to gradually build a community that is specialized in a certain topic. You will just choose the users which have something interesting and important to say about that topic and add them to your growing community. Podcasting is the best way to unite people with the same thoughts and opinion about a certain subject or topic. Podcasting surely has a feature in the sphere of internet communication and sharing.
